5 of the Best Jedburgh Campsites

Are you planning on going on a camping trip in Jedburgh? The pretty market town of Jedburgh is located just 10 miles from the English border, and is therefore the ideal stop-off point for a spot of camping – it’s also a great camping destination all on its own! Personally, we love camping in our own garden and have a huge 12-man tent pitched as soon as the sun makes an appearance (despite freezing on many occasions!), as there’s just something so exciting for kids (and adults) about camping or staying in a caravan. So, whether you’re pitching your tent or taking your caravan along for the journey, here are five Jedburgh campsites you might want to experience:

Advertising Holiday Lets: How to List a Property on Booking.com

Are you thinking of advertising your holiday let on Booking.com? When it comes to advertising holiday lets, property listings site Booking.com is one of the places I’ve personally seen the most success with (including lots of lovely overseas bookings!). The site currently displays around 925,405 properties worldwide, including 439,942 holiday rentals on sister site Villas.com – so the main attraction in listing a property here is the sheer amount of business and power Booking.com has under its belt, making it almost definitely worth your while.

How to Advertise Your Holiday Home on HolidayLettings.co.uk

Are you interested in advertising your holiday home on HolidayLettings.co.uk? Run by TripAdvisor, Holiday Lettings is one of my all-time favourite sites when listing properties, and I’ve personally seen a lot of success with it – as it produces plenty of traffic. It’s also a free to list site (although you pay 3% processing fee on each booking), and the company sends out reviews to each guest, which then filter through to both TripAdvisor and Flipkey – which is very handy when establishing a good online reputation! TIP: The only thing to remember here is that like a lot of ‘free to list’ sites, guests will end up paying an extra booking fee of up to 12% – and are usually blissfully unaware they’re having to pay extra! (Not applicable if you pay £349 for a listng)

Practical Health and Safety for Your Holiday Let [Full Checklist]

Looking for practical health and safety tips for your holiday let? I know that running a holiday let can be stressful at the best of times, and it’s so easy to get paranoid about whether or not your guests are going to be 100% safe whilst spending time in your property – if you’re anything like me, you always worry about whether you’ve overlooked something! There’s also a lack of specific legislation in some areas of general health and safety when it comes to holiday lets, although owners have a general duty of care to ensure guests are not put in any danger during their stay.

The Ultimate Gas Safety Checklist for Your Holiday Let

Unsure on the ins and outs of gas safety for your holiday let? If your holiday let contains gas appliances (either mains gas or LPG gas) it’s your legal responsibility to ensure these are well-maintained with annual checks and the correct alarms fitted in the event that anything does go wrong.
