The Garden Apartment is a delightful property set with in a converted barn in reputedly the oldest continuously inhabited village in Scotland.

Beautifully positioned in 1/2 acre gardens with its own woodland area and with stunning views to one the Scottish Borders’ most recognisable landmarks – the Eildon Hills.

Tweed bank train station with a direct link to the magnificent festival city of Edinburgh (under 1 hour) is 5 miles away and there is a bus stop right at the end of the lane. The property is within walking distance (approx 1 mile or so) of the beautiful Abbey town of Melrose. Here you will find an abundance of independent shops & award winning restaurants – a fabulous place to just wander.

Although this is an apartment within a larger property you will have exclusive access to the Garden Apartment  and the stunning gardens with no other guests next door during your stay. This is an ideal way for couples to enjoy this wonderful property at a fraction of the cost. A travel cot can be provided for your little one (under 24 months old). It is also ideal for those with reduced mobility as it is all on the same level. Just ask if you have any queries regarding access for disabled friends or family.

The light and spacious property comprises: 
Bedroom: Large light ground floor bedroom with triple aspect windows over looking the gardens (you can guess where we got the name from right?). Spacious wet room right next door with underfloor heating.
Wet Room: Spacious wet room style shower room with under floor heating.
Utility/ Boot Room: with sink and washing machine. Ideal space to kick off those muddy boots after a great days walking in the simply stunning surrounding countryside.
Fully equipped country style kitchen:  with simply spectacular views to the Eildon Hills. Dishwasher,  gas hob, electric multi function oven, fridge freezer and microwave.
Dining room: Spacious dining room with vaulted ceiling and original beams
Lounge: Delightful lounge with patio doors to front garden. TV and DVD player and piano if you fancy a tinkle!
 Gardens: The large mature gardens (approx. 0.5 acre) are a delight and an ideal place to soak up the peace and tranquillity of the area of perhaps a game of hide and seek?
Free wifi and plenty of parking right outside.
Sorry no pets allowed (Allergy notice – previous owner did have a dog) and no smoking within the property.
Important booking information.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking with the balance of payment being due six weeks prior to arrival. Where bookings are made less than six weeks in advance, full payment is due at the time of booking and no refund will be made if a subsequent cancellation occurs. We suggest that you take out holiday cancellation insurance to cover this risk.
PLEASE NOTE THE LANE LEADING TO THE HOUSE IS SINGLE TRACK AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR LARGE VEHICLES IE MINI BUSES, TRANSIT VANS OR ANY LONG OR WIDE VEHICLE OR TRAILERS.
